Oh nice, I liked this one more than the first one.

Thanks for writing an article on my tip!
The PC remaster seems to have received a lot of quality of life updates compared to the original on GC/PS2 versions as well as nice graphical changes to places like the little shops etc so will definitely buy if it comes to Switch. (A physical edition would be lovely, but will accept digital again if not).

It would be nice if they release the first and second on cartridge
I played the first one back in the day
I have played the second one
4Alundra-1998Wed 4th Nov 2020
@Mirage-5×5 I hope so as well.
I cannot buy it if it is not a physical release.
5HotGoombaWed 4th Nov 2020
Oh that’s cool. Is the first one good?
6TheAwesomeBowserWed 4th Nov 2020
Oh, cool. I’ll wait and see if it gets a physical.
7BunkerneathWed 4th Nov 2020
Liked the first one as had never played it before, will look out for the second.
But if there was a physical collection of both remakes I would definitely jump on that

The super-exaggerated Australian accents were pretty hard to take, but this was a fun game.
9link3710Wed 4th Nov 2020
@Peteykins The funny part is that they’re voiced by actual Australians. The whole game was made there.
@HotGoomba___Rebrand The first one is good, though nothing too special. It feels very similar to the original Jak & Daxter. Ty 2 is the best one IMO, expanding on the original in many ways. Ty 3… has the potential to be better? But the original GameCube version was forced out several months ahead of schedule by EA, and felt more like a late beta build than a truly finished game. That said, all the content for a better game was there, so an HD port with bug fixes could make that one the best.
10TempestrykeWed 4th Nov 2020
I’ve never heard of it.
11PeteykinsWed 4th Nov 2020
@link3710 Oh, I don’t doubt that, but they definitely kicked it up several notches.

What was with the late 90s-early 00s with 3D platformers starring cartoony animal mascots?
Banjo-Kazooie, Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot, Ratchet and Clank, Klonoa, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger? Not to mention Donkey Kong and Sonic the Hedgehog, who were reworked into the same genre come the 64/Dreamcast/Gamecube era…
13SpacedDuckWed 4th Nov 2020
FUUUUUUU Nintendo Life lol. I honestly at first glance thought that was a picture of Rayman and that we were getting a Rayman 2 Great Escape remake. DAMNIT!
14VolmunWed 4th Nov 2020
Way more interested in getting this one tbh. Also I’m hoping this means there going to do 3 Soon aswell as we Never got it in the UK.. other than the GBA Port.. that was realy not that good
15DpullamWed 4th Nov 2020
I actually would really like to play this one as long as the game itself is good. I haven’t checked reviews on the original release. The only Ty The Tasmanian Tiger game I have played is the first one, and I did enjoy it quite a bit back in the day, so having another way to play more of this series sounds good to me.
16link3710Wed 4th Nov 2020
@marandahir Blame Super Mario 64. That game was revolutionary. After playing it, I’m sure tons of developers wanted to make their own take on it.
I’m a bit less certain why so many of them starred animal mascots though, and I lived through that era. Outside of Mario, Tak, Billy Hatcher… most of the others are animals.
17HollowSpectreWed 4th Nov 2020
I knew stalling on the first was a good idea. I’ll wait for the whole trilogy methinks.
18crimsontadpolesWed 4th Nov 2020
I enjoyed the first game back in the old days. Glad to see this series getting talked about again, as I’m always up for more 3D platforming collectathons.
19basswitchWed 4th Nov 2020
He totally looks like Brain from Inspector Gadget.
20WesEdsWed 4th Nov 2020
Sold. Loved the original back in the day and never knew there was a second until last year so I’m getting day one
21Ghost_of_HasashiWed 4th Nov 2020
This was a decent 3D platformer but not one I would spend full price on, if anything this should had being bundle with the first one.
22MidnightLacesWed 4th Nov 2020
er..i am afraid it’ll have those horrid graphics as the first one that they ported on the switch :s…hopefully they work on it, and don’t rush it just to cash in gullible people.
23Alpha008Wed 4th Nov 2020
I’m up for it! Bring it on
24SoulSilverIVWed 4th Nov 2020
100% completed Ty 1 on the Switch, having played it tons on PS2 as a kid. I had a blast! But, I never did play (or even know about) Ty 2 back in the day. So I would absolutely back a second kickstarter campaign to support such a project.
I find it very amusing just how well the Ty kickstarter went, considering its from a much smaller dev (Krome) compared to the Wonderful 101 kickstarter, which has been a total dumpsterfire in comparison!!!

I know these games aren’t exactly classics but it’s always great to see more 3d Platformers being remastered, I hope this comes to switch as I have not played the 2nd or 3rd games in the series.
